Job Overview

The Facilities Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the management, repair, and maintenance of the property, including machinery, mechanical systems, and structural elements. This role involves delegating tasks to team members, ranging from basic maintenance to more intricate tasks such as electrical and HVAC work. The Facilities Engineering Supervisor must also possess the capability to perform these tasks personally when necessary. These professionals are expected to have extensive knowledge and skills in various physical resources and their maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of the facility
  • Evaluating electrical systems
  • Recruiting additional maintenance personnel
  • Procuring necessary parts and equipment
  • Documenting daily maintenance activities
  • Assigning work duties to staff
  • Training both new and existing employees
  • Liaising with service providers and contractors
  • Developing work schedules
  • Executing essential and emergency repairs
  • Performing hands-on maintenance tasks as needed
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as required.
