RDJ Bakeries Ltd., a renowned food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Maintenance & Planning department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Collaborate with the planning team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and PMs.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Enforce and champion health and safety procedures and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and optimal utilization of assets.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance staff.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry-leading food safety standards and company policies.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management on maintenance performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maintenance manager or in a similar role.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations and managing a team.
- Strong understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and other facilities equipment.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage.
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus.
