Position Overview

Agricorp Ltd. is seeking a Senior Analyst to enhance our Program Development Division.

The Program Development Division is tasked with program evaluation, product innovation, and fostering relationships with industry stakeholders. This division is also pivotal in crafting new initiatives and facilitating modifications to ensure efficient, transparent, and streamlined program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst role resides within the Program Analysis Department, which spearheads legislative program reporting, program evaluations (e.g., AgriInsurance, AgriStability), premium rate establishment, and quarterly program forecasts.

In this capacity, you will:

  • Lead the Program Analysis team in delivering comprehensive analyses, forecasts, legislative reports, and premium rate assessments while mentoring team members.
  • Design and sustain intricate forecasting models for programs managed by Agricorp.
  • Draft briefing documents, project outlines, and impactful presentations in response to both complex and straightforward analytical requests from various departments within Agricorp.
  • Offer strategic options and sound recommendations to corporate committees and senior management regarding the development and enhancement of Agricorp's offerings.
  • Tackle complex, unprecedented challenges by leveraging a unique blend of technical expertise and collaborative efforts with colleagues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to assist the business and industry in understanding the implications of program changes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insightful recommendations to the Program Analysis Manager for inclusion in departmental planning.
  • Conduct evaluations and make recommendations concerning the procurement of actuarial services.
  • Mitigate reputational, financial, legal, and privacy risks to Agricorp through rigorous analysis and sound reasoning.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with key analytical partners in relevant governmental and industry sectors.
  • Serve as a SME for complex reporting and data analysis for program enhancements.

Employment Type: Permanent
Work Arrangement: Full-time with options for in-office, remote, or hybrid setups.
Compensation Range: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree required, PhD preferred in AgriEconomics, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in analysis and project management.
  • A background in agriculture or agronomy is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, analytical software, and database query tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS for statistical analysis, particularly in data management and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to interpret and analyze information by breaking it down into components and identifying patterns.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making – Capable of making informed decisions and solving problems with varying complexity and risk.
  • Proactive Initiative – Recognizes and addresses issues proactively, seizing opportunities as they arise.
  • Data Collection and Analysis – Skilled in gathering data from relevant sources and synthesizing it into concise reports.
