Role Summary:
The Associate Director of Market Access and Launch Strategies is a pivotal role within PDCI Market Access, a division of McKesson Canada. This position involves providing expert guidance on a diverse range of market access initiatives for client-facing projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering client relationships and conveying PDCI's expertise and insights to external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of market access specialists to develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the introduction of new biopharmaceutical products in Canada.
- Conduct market access assessments and provide policy and advocacy advisory services.
- Formulate and execute market entry strategies tailored to client product launches.
- Deliver strategic insights into market access trends and emerging issues that could impact product reimbursement.
- Guide clients and team members through complex market access dynamics.
- Assess and advise on effective advocacy plans for clients, engaging with external stakeholders.
- Provide thought leadership on pharmaceutical policies affecting clients and the broader life sciences sector.
- Oversee primary research initiatives, including policy insights development and stakeholder mapping.
- Advise on reimbursement negotiation strategies with both public and private payers.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key clients and stakeholders to advance business solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative market access solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in market access, strategic planning, pricing, and negotiations.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian biopharmaceutical market access landscape.
- Proven experience in leading and negotiating reimbursement agreements with drug programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues into actionable insights.
- A growth-oriented mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to foster productive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
- A passion for enhancing market access and policy to improve access to innovative therapies.
