About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at I-WAY TRANSPORT INC. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the performance of our store, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train staff, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all areas of the store are covered.
  • Study Market Research and Trends: Analyze market research and trends to determine consumer demand and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Determine Merchandise and Services: Decide on the types of merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers.
  • Locate and Procure Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that it meets our quality standards.
  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute marketing plans to promote our products and services.
  • Plan Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Develop and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure that we are operating within our means.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: Attract, select, and train staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Oversee Payroll Administration: Manage payroll, ensuring that all staff are paid accurately and on time.
  • Supervise Office and Volunteer Staff: Supervise and train office and volunteer staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week
