We are seeking a dedicated **Sheet Metal Fabrication Assistant** to join our team at **Piedmont Sheet Metal (1997) Ltd.**. This role is essential in supporting our skilled tradespeople in various tasks related to sheet metal work.

Educational Requirements
  • No formal education, degree, or certification is required.
Work Environment

The position is based in a **sheet metal workshop**, where teamwork and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Prepare surfaces by leveling earth to meet precise grade specifications.
  • Clear construction sites of rubble and debris.
  • Manage traffic flow in and around construction areas.
  • Engage in various labor-intensive tasks as needed.
  • Operate metalworking machinery for cutting, punching, drilling, shaping, or straightening sheet metal.
  • Utilize **computer numerical control (CNC)** machines effectively.
  • Support skilled tradespersons in their daily activities.
  • Help assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
  • Fit and join sheet metal components accurately.
  • Install sheet metal products in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with welding and soldering equipment.
  • Familiarity with shears, punch presses, drill presses, and brakes.
Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with **1 to less than 7 months** of relevant experience.
