About the Role

The Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury is a leading healthcare provider seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with acquired brain injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individual and group interventions related to patients' rehabilitation goals
  • Clean and prepare treatment spaces, order supplies, and organize storage areas
  • Support and assist healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Contribute to effective and efficient rehabilitation services across the healthcare continuum
Requirements
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent observation, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner
  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • CPR certification (BLS for Health Care Providers Level C)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Greater than 3 months of experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation interdisciplinary team providing care for stroke and brain-injured patients
