About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Multimedia Content Creator to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our news operations, you will play a critical role in shaping and strengthening the CityNews brand as we continue to transition to digital and revolutionize the way we produce and tell our stories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create fast-paced, compelling, and informative news content for our digital properties and broadcast on our television and radio news programs.
  • Coordinate and deploy newsroom and field resources to gather elements and create news content.
  • Perform various control room duties, including pitching during daily creative brainstorms and story meetings.
  • Email, call, and interview people as you chase, research, and create enterprise or breaking news content.
  • Develop innovative video content optimized for a digital audience.
  • Ensure that content is factually and grammatically correct.
Requirements
  • Creative vision and keen editorial judgment.
  • Superior writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Shift work required, including regular weekend and evening shifts.
  • An appetite to learn and grow.
