Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Associate Multimedia Content Creator to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our digital properties and broadcast on our television and radio news programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement content strategies that meet the needs of our diverse audience.
  • Research and write compelling news articles, features, and other content for our digital platforms.
  • Coordinate and deploy newsroom and field resources to gather elements and create news content.
  • Perform various control room duties, including editing and producing content for broadcast.
  • Pitch story ideas and participate in daily creative brainstorms and story meetings.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information to create enterprise or breaking news content.
  • Develop innovative video content optimized for a digital audience.
  • Ensure that content is factually and grammatically correct.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Shift work required, including regular weekend and evening shifts.
  • Appetite to learn and grow in a dynamic and innovative team.
