Job Title: Health Care Aide

At WRHA Community Health Services, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team.

Job Summary

The Health Care Aide will work under the supervision of the Resource Coordinator to provide supportive care to clients in their homes. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic supportive care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition to the Resource Coordinator.
  • Participate in client care planning and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions

The Health Care Aide will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, and may be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, and other hazards. The ability to travel between assignments and adapt to changes in scheduling is required.
