Job Title: Health Care Aide

Under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals, the Health Care Aide plays a vital role in providing patient care and support services. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and working collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic supportive care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Participate in patient care planning and implementation, under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment by adhering to infection control practices and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course.
  • Previous patient care experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Working Conditions:

The Health Care Aide position involves extensive physical activity, including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment. A high level of physical fitness and stamina is required to perform the duties of this role.
