Job Title: Health Care Aide

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Health Care Aide will provide direct client care, assisting with activities of daily living, and promoting independence and optimal health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring.
  • Assist with medication management and administration.
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in client care planning and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Training and/or maintenance of competence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Health Care Aide will work in a variety of settings, including community, healthcare centers, and hospitals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical activity and exposure to disease, blood, and body fluids.
