Position: Governance Manager
Department: Executive Services

Under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Governance Manager is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the operations of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) Members during the Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Board Committees, and affiliated organizations.

This critical role involves meticulous planning, project oversight, financial stewardship, governance education, and administrative support to ensure timely and effective decision-making during meetings.

The Governance Manager will provide regular governance orientation and training to relevant individuals and boards as necessary, along with offering strategic advice to the CEO on best practices for meeting conduct, governance, and training.

This position requires extensive travel within Nunavut to attend meetings, where the Governance Manager will document resolutions and minutes.

To qualify for an interview, candidates must possess a college diploma in office administration or a related discipline, experience working with political boards, proficiency in minute-taking, and experience managing financial resources.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Adobe software, and iPad is essential.

As the Governance Manager, candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, establish and meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Inuktut and English are mandatory.
