Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Import Traffic Coordinator to join our team. As an Import Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-border trade activities, ensuring customs compliance, and managing supply chain logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate ocean import activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Work with our overseas team to ensure import documentation meets clearance and compliance standards.
  • Track and trace shipments from origin to destination, ensuring maximum visibility and efficiency.
  • Provide update reports to warehouse and partner facilities on import traffic forecasts.
  • Assist in maintaining supplier accounts, coordinating payments, and reconciling accounts.
Customs Compliance:
  • Submit import documents to our partnering customs brokers for clearance.
  • Work with customs brokers to ensure import product classification and exception certificates are complete.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers to assist the procurement team on obtaining landed costs and ensuring trade compliance regulations are met.
  • Maintain proper records for CBP/CBSA and HS codes database.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in customs compliance and import traffic coordination.
  • Completion of Canadian Society of Customs Brokers Certificate or Certified Customs Specialist is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistical delivery requirements, freight forwarding, and supply chain logistics.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to handle large volumes and meet tight deadlines.
