Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across assigned locations.
  • Ensure the properties are well-maintained, secure, and visually appealing.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain detailed checklists to address any issues promptly.
  • Respond to tenant service requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain and service equipment, including chemical treatments and mechanical components.
  • Keep accurate logbooks and meter readings for all building systems.
  • Utilize building automation systems effectively to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks, including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC adjustments.
  • Be available for emergency on-call duties as required.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for necessary services and materials.
  • Monitor parking areas and report any suspicious activities in line with company policies.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels for assigned properties.
  • Assist in budget management and ensure operations remain within financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with project managers for tenant improvements and construction services.
  • Review and update building manuals annually in conjunction with emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and best practices in building operations.
  • Identify and respond to potentially hazardous conditions proactively.
  • Promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability in all operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Class 5 Operators Certificate, Refrigeration Operator certification, and Engineers Certificate.
  • WHMIS, First Aid, CPR, and OH&S Level 1 certifications are required.
  • Additional certifications such as BST, SMT, or SMA are advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of building operations and automation systems is essential.
  • Must be bondable through the RCMP for access to secure areas.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and common sense in daily operations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure.
