Position Overview

In alignment with the organization's established vision and values, the Registered Care Aide delivers resident care in accordance with a resident-centered care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures.

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team and under the guidance of the Manager or designate, the Registered Care Aide executes nursing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, in addition to assisting residents with daily living activities, encompassing personal, social, physical, and recreational needs.

Facilitates resident transportation and performs administrative tasks.

Work Schedule: Days and Evenings, with shifts from 07:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 (Rotating)

Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 10 and graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, with registration in the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to interact positively with others.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in operating relevant equipment.
