Position Overview
This role involves performing technical engineering tasks related to the assessment, evaluation, and management of public infrastructure and systems.
This position operates under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer and includes project management responsibilities for infrastructure initiatives.
Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a background in the design of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. Experience with the operation and design of wastewater pumping facilities is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is highly desirable.
Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in designing pipelines utilizing pressure pipe networks within AutoCAD.

Responsibilities
Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to support the planning, design, construction, assessment, and maintenance of various municipal projects. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and monitoring project scopes, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Providing engineering support through the design of project components and documentation.
- Creating and modifying plans and drawings using computer-aided design tools.
- Conducting environmental and mapping surveys, as well as performing cost analyses and feasibility assessments.
- Assisting in the preparation of contract documents and evaluating contractor proposals.
Collaboration
Engages with clients, officials, contractors, and both internal and external personnel to facilitate effective communication and service delivery.
Data Analysis
Analyzes and interprets relevant data, attends project meetings, and reports on project status regarding schedules and budgets.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is required, along with six years of experience in planning, assessment, design, construction, or inspection of public infrastructure projects.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that meets the job-related competencies may also be considered.
Emergency Response
In the event of an emergency, the employee may be required to fulfill duties as assigned by the department or relevant authorities.
