Building Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at TransGlobe Equities Ltd. as a key member of our facilities management team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our apartment/condominium complex, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
- Operate industrial equipment such as vacuum cleaners and power tools to remove debris and maintain a clean environment.
- Conduct safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
- Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Perform other routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex in an urban area.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and will be required to work in a physically demanding role with regular exposure to heavy equipment and materials.
