Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contractor Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are on hand.
- Workplace Safety: Perform safety and security checks to ensure a safe working environment. Supervise other workers and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Experience: Will train or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Motel, hotel, resort.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
- Permanent Full-Time Position
- 35 to 40 hours per week
- English Language
