We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Triple J Canada Consulting Inc. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and providing technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule work and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Train workers in accounting duties and policies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends
  • Ensure smooth operation of accounting equipment and software, resolving any technical issues that may arise
  • Resolve work problems, providing technical advice and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining the highest level of integrity and attention to detail
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support accounting operations
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to ensure accounting equipment is functioning properly
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
Supervision

This role will supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure they are meeting their job responsibilities and contributing to the success of the accounting department.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a large caseload environment and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
