About Thakkar's Accounting Inc.

We are a reputable accounting firm seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients, highlighting key financial trends and areas for improvement.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as manage benefits and other employee-related expenses.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks to the company.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and overtime required.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to management and clients.
