This role, reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, involves the accurate and timely management of prescription medications. You will ensure that inventory levels meet patient needs and provide essential counseling with proper documentation. Additionally, you will foster positive interactions with both internal and external customers while promoting public health awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff
  • Manage hiring processes and evaluate staff performance
  • Ensure the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department
  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications to patients
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for medications and over-the-counter products
  • Provide friendly and proactive counseling to patients regarding their medications
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives
  • Address patient needs and resolve issues promptly
  • Analyze budgeted sales and net contributions
  • Identify and report potential sales opportunities
  • Monitor and control costs within the pharmacy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered with the ACP, injection certification, and APA required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and coaching staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism
  • Proven experience in community-based marketing strategies
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a track record of executing action plans
  • Proficient in personal computing, with knowledge of Healthwatch as an asset
