This role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and encompasses the responsibilities of receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions with accuracy and timeliness. You will ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet patient needs and provide counsel with appropriate documentation to all patients. Your role will also involve fostering positive interactions with both internal and external customers while raising awareness and educating the community through public relations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff
  • Manage hiring processes and evaluate staff performance
  • Ensure the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department
  • Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage medications for patients
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements
  • Engage with patients regarding new and existing medications in a friendly and proactive manner
  • Conduct public relations activities to educate customers (e.g., health clinics, public health days)
  • Provide timely resolutions to patient inquiries and physician requests
  • Analyze and review budgeted sales and net contributions
  • Identify and report on sales opportunities both internally and externally
  • Monitor and control costs within the pharmacy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered with the ACP, injection certification, and APA required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and coaching staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor
  • Proven track record in utilizing community-based marketing strategies to grow the business
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including experience in developing and implementing action plans
  • Proficient in personal computing, with knowledge of Healthwatch as a valuable asset
