About the Role:
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacy professionals to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the efficient operation of our pharmacy department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operation of the pharmacy department.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and managing the performance of pharmacy staff.
- Accountable for the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department.
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patient needs.
- Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor's requests/issues.
- Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution.
- Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally.
- Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered with the ACP, injection certification, and APA required.
- At least 3 years' experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach others.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience of formulating and executing action plans.
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch is a definite asset.
