Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail and Admissions Sales Associate at Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada. As a representative of one of Kingston's premium tourism sites, you will provide exceptional guest experiences and contribute to the generation of revenues through sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first point of welcome to guests by greeting, responding to inquiries, and providing site information in both English and French.
  • Offer travel and tourist information to the public on Fort Henry National Historic Site and other attractions in the region.
  • Contribute to revenue generation by collecting admission fees and upselling specialized products, programs, and events.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
  • Operate retail point-of-sale systems, restock store products, and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Assist with wedding and special events setup and teardown as needed.
  • Embody the St. Lawrence Parks Commission's equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in all interactions with staff and guests.
Requirements
  • Linguistic skills in English and French.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective product information and customer service.
  • Ability to sell and upsell admissions, programs, and services.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and impart specialized program, admission, merchandise, and regional tourist information.
  • Ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assume responsibility while working alone or in a team.
  • Ability to learn and maintain all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal, visitor, and fellow staff safety.
