Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at 2620547 ONTARIO INC. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
- Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate total payment, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stock Shelves and Clean the Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
- Monitor Entrances and Exits: Ensure that all customers have paid for their items before leaving the store.
- Participate in Promotional Activities: Participate in sales promotions, product demonstrations, and other in-store events to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Verify Customer Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail sales experience.
- Work Setting: Gas bar and retail business environment.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with Interac machines, price scanners, and computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: $15-$20 per hour.
