About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team at J.P. Metal Masters 2000 Inc. as a Metal Structure Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, setting up and operating heavy-duty metal-working machines, and constructing patterns and templates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate assembly
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, adhering to strict quality and safety standards
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as shears, presses, and drill presses
  • Construct patterns and templates to facilitate efficient production
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring precise fit and finish
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and hand-eye coordination, as you will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with heavy machinery and equipment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
