About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team at J.P. Metal Masters 2000 Inc. as a Metal Structure Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting steel plates and sections to form structures, setting up and operating heavy-duty metal-working machines, and constructing patterns and templates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of steel structures.
  • Assemble and fit steel plates and sections to form structures, using various metal-working machines and tools.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as shears, presses, and drill presses, to cut, shape, and assemble steel components.
  • Construct patterns and templates to guide the fabrication and assembly of steel structures.
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring accurate fit and finish.
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, using various lifting equipment and techniques.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. You must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with a high level of hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
