Key Responsibilities
The Box Office Specialist at the National Arts Centre plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Under the guidance of the Senior Box Office Coordinator, this individual engages with patrons to develop long-term loyalty, handling inquiries, and providing information to enhance their experience.
Key Activities
• Handle patron inquiries and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner
• Assist customers in finding the right tickets or subscription packages
• Proactively offer information and items to enhance the customer's experience
• Accurately record and utilize key customer data to inform future interactions
• Strive for first contact problem resolution to ensure customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with the team to connect with patrons and promote events
• Perform administrative tasks related to event promotions and ticket sales
Requirements
• Fluently bilingual in both official languages
• High School degree with a minimum of one year of related experience
• Experience in customer service and dealing with various monetary transactions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain a high level of organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
• Familiarity and comfort with a computerized environment
• Experience in ticket sales and Microsoft Teams is an asset
• A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement
