Job Summary

The Manitoba Government is seeking a skilled Building Superintendent to join their team in The Pas. As a key member of the facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the building, including maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and its systems to identify potential issues
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and staff
  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of common areas, including hallways, common areas, and public washrooms
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, weed removal, pruning, snow clearing, and litter pickup
  • Deliver tenant notices and conduct routine inspections on fire safety systems and equipment

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities management or a related field
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
