Job Summary:

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to join our team. As an IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for delivering IT portfolio/projects/programs, ensuring IT Portfolio budgets and forecasts are in line with organization objectives, and supporting the IT PMO resource life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement IT portfolio strategies and delivery approaches.
  2. Manage IT Portfolio budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  3. Support the IT PMO resource life cycle, including resource management, onboarding, and resource hiring.
  4. Ensure IT Portfolio budgets data quality, including reporting and PMO KPI.
  5. Maintain required Supplier project delivery Governance in place.
  6. Promote knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities within the PMO and IT project teams.
  7. Enforce best practices, knowledge transfer, and lessons learned within the IT community.
  8. Manage a cross-functional team of IT Project managers and IT PMO resources.
  9. Enforce IT PMO methodology, usage of standard tools, and drive for continuous improvement.
  10. Drive IT PMO efficiency and supporting projects activities such as Procurement and Finance.
  11. Drive standard tools optimization for effective IT portfolio management within the framework of the organization.
  12. Maintain standardized and relevant document templates into central repository for IT community.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing IT portfolio, IT projects, resources assignments, and levelling.
  • Experience in delivering IT Projects through IT PMO using complete Project Lifecycle, preferably on an international basis.
  • Excellent technical level with regards to Project Management tools & methodology (ideally with PMP/PMI).
  • Experience in providing budget actuals and planning input to IS Stakeholders.
  • Understanding of project management frameworks and tools in the delivery of business objectives.
  • Experience in Team management and the ability to motivate PMO resources and project teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt to an international dynamic working environment.
  • Business-fluent English (written and spoken is mandatory).
  • Experienced in resource planning against prioritized project portfolio and ability to work with IS stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Committed to quality and details, both written and numerical.
  • Experience working in cross-functional relationships to work with individuals not under their control.
