Position Overview:

As a Gas Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to address customer requests by diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and installing new heating systems. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the systems you handle, and completing tasks in a timely manner. Your success will be measured by the quality of your work and the satisfaction of our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer service requests, including installations and repairs, utilizing industry best practices and tools for effective troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues through thorough inspections, assessing gas flow, thermostats, heat distribution, and insulation.
  • Evaluate existing processes and propose enhancements based on best practices and prior experience.
  • Offer consultative services within your expertise, participate in projects, and potentially lead segments of project work while identifying risks.
  • Conduct final inspections post-repair to ensure all systems are functioning safely and effectively.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of our products and services, supporting operations within both Residential and Commercial Energy Services.
  • Provide regular updates and relevant information to the Service Manager and other team members.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment and leak prevention measures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, taking the lead on projects and mentoring junior staff by fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and basic air conditioning systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Ability to produce results that reflect an understanding of financial implications.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and safely.

Your Experience:

  • Preferred G2 or higher Gas Technician License.
  • Consideration will be given to Licensed Oil Heating Technicians willing to obtain a G2 Gas Technician license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
