Position Overview:

As a Gas Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to address customer requests and resolve issues through effective diagnostic troubleshooting. You will conduct routine maintenance on existing systems and oversee the installation of new equipment. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer service requests (installations, repairs, etc.) by employing industry best practices and tools to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system problems through thorough inspections, including checks on gas flow, thermostats, heat flow, and insulation.
  • Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements based on best practices and prior experience.
  • Provide consultative services within your defined area and may lead specific tasks within projects to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct final inspections of systems post-repair to ensure all equipment operates safely.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our products and services and their implications for other areas of the organization.
  • Keep the Service Manager and other team members informed with status updates and relevant information.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, taking a lead role in projects and mentoring junior team members.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and basic air conditioning is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Ability to produce outcomes that reflect an understanding of financial implications.
  • Capability to work efficiently and safely.

Your Experience:

  • Preference for candidates with a G2 or higher Gas Technician License.
  • Licensed Oil Heating Technicians willing to obtain a G2 Gas Technician license will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
