Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our HR Corporate Learning and Development team as a Senior Learning and Development Consultant. This role is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about nurturing talent and enhancing learning experiences.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive learning experience, managing the entire program lifecycle from initial consultation and facilitation to post-session support, including administration of the Contact Learning system and processes. Your efforts will contribute to the development of Intact's leaders and employees, as well as our business development and brokerage channels.

We are looking for two candidates who possess a positive and proactive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. One position will focus on English program delivery, while the other will cater to French language program delivery. This role is perfect for a passionate Learning and Development professional with a background in Human Resources.

The successful candidates will report to the Learning and Development Manager, Program Management and Learner Experience, and will be required to travel regularly to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person workshops.
  • Manage tasks related to the complete facilitation cycle, including Workday Learning administration.
  • Consult with learners, business units, and HR partners to conduct needs assessments and gap analyses, providing tailored learning solutions and post-session support.
  • Create a safe and effective learning environment through proactive engagement before, during, and after training sessions.
  • Continuously enhance skills and knowledge to align with current learning needs and organizational priorities.
  • Review and incorporate feedback from learning data to improve the quality of the learning experience.
  • Update Workday Learning, including program creation and management tasks such as updates, course closures, and attendance tracking.
  • Ensure learners have timely access to necessary learning materials.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and consulting for Workday Learning.
  • Collaborate with the national team to implement learning priorities and achieve L&D objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Learning and Development Team, promoting Intact as a leading employer.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Adult Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in leadership consulting, coaching, or equivalent roles.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required for candidates located in Quebec, due to regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues.
  • Ability to challenge conventional practices to deliver a top-tier learning experience.
  • Commitment to a continuous learning mindset that is dynamic, innovative, and adaptable.
  • Experience in conducting learning needs analyses to support leadership facilitation and business strategy.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion and urgency.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday is preferred.
  • Willingness to adjust working hours and travel on short notice.
