Position Overview

The Acute Medicine department is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. Our teams work collaboratively to ensure high-quality care for individuals facing acute health challenges.

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a pivotal role in leading the coordination and assessment of nursing care for patients with multifaceted medical needs. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and community resources to ensure effective care delivery and education for patients and their families. By employing evidence-based practices and demonstrating strong leadership, the RN establishes benchmarks for excellence in patient care. The RN also develops and implements educational strategies tailored to the needs of patients and their families, serving as a reliable resource throughout the care process.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility, including rotating shifts that encompass days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Valid registration with the regulatory body as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Relevant experience in acute care settings or geriatrics.
  • Proficient in utilizing nursing care plans and demonstrating critical thinking skills in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Knowledgeable in the assessment and management of adult and geriatric patients, including rehabilitation strategies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and organizational skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
