Brandt Group of Companies is actively looking for a Sales Director - Trailers Eastern Canada to be based in our London Peterbilt location. This role is pivotal in fostering, managing, and driving sustainable and profitable sales growth for trailer products, which include heavy haul and specialty trailers. The Sales Director will focus on enhancing sales, market presence, and profitability within the designated geographical region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for the branches.
  • Ensure all dealers are proficient in handling the Brandt product offerings.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and local Territory Manager to formulate and execute strategies for increasing Brandt sales in the territory.
  • Support the sales team in achieving product sales growth by delivering comprehensive knowledge of products, applications, industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Organize and conduct ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales as planned.
  • Drive sales for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers through Brandt Peterbilt & John Deere dealers while assessing the regional marketplace for optimal branch sales channels.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies, activities, programs, and tactics.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to ensure Brandt's pricing, programs, and marketing strategies effectively penetrate new markets and enhance profitability in existing markets.
  • Identify opportunities for attachment product development that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and create additional profit avenues for Brandt.
  • Offer insights regarding the appropriate inventory mix to meet sales and profitability objectives aligned with BES' business goals across various product categories.
  • Assist in managing product line asset goals regarding turnover and aging while safeguarding company assets.
  • Participate in customer visits alongside sales teams as necessary.
  • Engage in extensive travel throughout the regional network, often accompanying Brandt's sales teams to support direct interactions with major John Deere Dealers and Brandt Peterbilt dealer contacts and their clientele.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with branches.
  • Ensure branches are well-informed about all facets of Brandt Sales, Service, and Finance.
  • Support branches with various sales and marketing initiatives, which may include advertising, demonstrations, field days, and open houses.
  • Contribute to the development of sales programs.
  • Provide input for product development initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating and attending trade shows within the territory.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
