About the Role

Crown Floors Decor is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Software Proficiency: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates and manage project data.
  • Estimate Reports: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects, and project cash flow and financing requirements.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures, and prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
  • Communication: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
