Your Contribution:

The primary responsibility of the Receiver/Stocker is to efficiently distribute and stock products in designated areas throughout the store. This role involves utilizing store equipment properly while managing stock, downstocking merchandise, and addressing any hazardous material spills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive all product shipments and ensure a steady flow of merchandise on store shelves
  • Sort and unpack delivered products
  • Utilize power equipment to transport products to appropriate locations and prepare for incoming shipments
  • Identify products for special orders or installations and assist design department customers
  • Label products as needed, place them in designated areas, and notify relevant team members
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of received inventory
  • Detail received products as necessary
  • Match delivery manifests with incoming products, assess the condition of received items, and complete paperwork with precision
  • Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming and assisting customers in locating, selecting, demonstrating, and loading merchandise in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by monitoring access points and potential security risks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Experience operating forklifts and power equipment such as lifts and order pickers
  • Background in warehouse inventory handling and stocking
  • Experience in a retail setting managing inventory
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly without assistance
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and heights
