Your Role:

The primary responsibility of the Receiver/Stocker is to efficiently distribute and organize merchandise throughout the store. This includes utilizing store equipment properly, managing stock placement, and addressing any hazardous material spills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive all incoming product deliveries and ensure a smooth flow of freight on the sales floor
  • Sort and unpack delivered products
  • Operate power equipment to transport products to designated areas, ensuring adequate space for new inventory
  • Identify products for special orders or installations
  • Tag products as necessary and communicate with relevant team members
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of received inventory
  • Detail received products as required
  • Match delivery manifests with incoming products, inspect the condition of items, and complete paperwork with precision
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in locating, selecting, demonstrating, and loading merchandise
  • Ensure a safe work environment by securing entrances and monitoring for potential security risks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Experience operating forklifts and other power equipment
  • Background in warehouse inventory management and stocking
  • Experience in a retail setting handling inventory
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and heights
