Job Summary:

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in Eastern Ontario, developing sales pipeline, managing the sales cycle and achieving new customer acquisition goals. This role also involves expanding Stryker within the existing customer base and achieving their expansion booking goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities to meet or exceed assigned sales revenue goals.
  • Develop strategic account plans for customers in their assigned territory.
  • Conduct introductory and high-level presentations, including the demonstration of Stryker solutions.
  • Dedicate the majority of time to face-to-face and/or direct communication with customers and prospects.
  • Forecast business and sales pipeline as required, updating management on the status of all prospects, in-process sales cycles and potential revenue.
  • Conduct continuous prospecting activities and build a sales pipeline sufficient to support achievement of sales revenue goals.
  • Lead the sales team through focused planning and communication, ensuring the successful execution of the sales cycle.
  • Deliver timely technical and administrative product and solution information to create long-term, on-going business relationships and set the stage for future opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify end-user opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus.
  • 4+ years of direct healthcare sales experience in technology, software (clinical systems or other business applications), services, medical devices, or wireless communications.
  • Experience selling in the healthcare sector, a plus.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex sales cycles typically defined as six months or longer with multiple stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers at multiple levels.
  • Experience with virtual meeting and presentation tools.
  • Disciplined use of a formalized sales methodology.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Display effective interpersonal skills sufficient to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships.
  • Display a sense of creativity and innovation, with integrity and respect for others.
  • 25 – 30% travel within a region.
