Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Seafood Express (PEI) Limited. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T)
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
