Job Summary:

BioVectra Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Charlottetown, PEI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our research and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair research and process equipment, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and plumbing systems.
  • Relocation and Assembly: Relocate equipment through assembly and dismantle procedures, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform diagnostics and repairs on process and research equipment, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment repair histories and spare parts consolidation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-Secondary Education Diploma from a Mechanical or Electrical trade program or engineering technician program.
  • Experience: Post-Secondary Trades certification with a minimum of 3 years experience in a regulated environment.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and team skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Standard Operating/Work Procedures as part of the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices.
