Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement industrialization plans and milestones with suppliers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with suppliers and Safran teams to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with industrialization activities.
- Provide regular progress reports and flash reports to stakeholders.
- Supply Chain Management
- Manage changes to product configuration and communicate with suppliers and commodity buyers.
- Negotiate costs and terms with suppliers.
- Ensure that validated models, drawings, and specifications are shared with suppliers.
- General Responsibilities
- Apply the APQP process in accordance with Safran's policies and procedures.
- Participate in health, safety, and environmental initiatives, as the health, safety, and environment are the responsibility of every employee.
- Manufacturing engineer or degree in engineering, preferably, and/or 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing working on new program introductions or similar (aerospace experience preferred).
- Experience in/aware of raw materials and forging processes.
- Experience in/aware of machinery, non-destructive testing, special treatments, and assembly of landing gear components and assembly processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to complete work within a fixed deadline and follow up on pending issues in a reasonable timeframe.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
- Ability to work safely, following all health and safety policies, and maintain a high level of 5S for a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to read drawings and understand/work with Catia models through our Enovia system.
- Problem-solving skills with critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent decision-making and judgment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management, including supplier management and business owners in English and a second language, which would be an asset.
- Negotiation and time management skills.
- Understanding of measurement instruments for machinery and inspection.
Experience in project management, high-level to expert-level skills in MS Office, knowledge of products and process-specific requirements.
