Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will spearhead initiatives aimed at developing new IT infrastructure or enhancing existing systems to comply with security and regulatory standards such as NIST SP, CMMC Level 3, or internal Safran security protocols. This role will serve as the primary infrastructure authority on security matters, ensuring that necessary security modifications are implemented in accordance with guidelines set forth by the SLS Security team.

Core Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Incident Management:
    • Oversee security incidents following established SLS procedures.
    • Address and resolve security incidents while implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and provide solutions for complex security issues affecting infrastructure.
    • Assist local infrastructure teams in resolving incidents.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and escalation of incidents to the Deputy CISO.
    • Maintain communication with local and global security notification groups.
  2. Infrastructure Change Management:
    • Lead infrastructure projects to align with customer and regulatory security requirements.
    • Evaluate infrastructure at various North American sites to identify necessary security enhancements.
    • Review changes proposed by other infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
    • Construct and configure server and network infrastructure, including physical servers.
    • Install and maintain Windows Enterprise servers and create virtual servers for both Windows and Linux environments.
    • Implement new network infrastructure to support organizational initiatives.
  3. Security Architecture Design:
    • Develop security design proposals for new architectures and present them for approval.
    • Review technical documentation and diagrams to support the transition of security projects into production.
    • Recommend security projects to mitigate vulnerabilities and manage security solutions across North American sites.
  4. Infrastructure Security Expertise:
    • Collaborate with the Deputy CISO to ensure compliance of infrastructure security across North American locations.
    • Conduct audits of infrastructure and report findings as required.
    • Ensure completion of internal controls documentation and testing.
    • Participate in security project meetings to ensure compliance with deadlines.
    • Prepare presentations to communicate the status of security projects to management.
    • Manage firewall solutions and core network components.
    • Provide guidance to infrastructure experts on security solutions.
    • Proactively monitor security alerts and develop action plans to address any identified gaps.
    • Coordinate with global teams to ensure effective operation of security solutions.
    • Manage certificate renewals and updates for infrastructure.

The incumbent will also collaborate with other IS groups to ensure all necessary security documentation and policy enforcement are upheld.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Extensive experience in IT/IS disciplines, including infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Proficient in managing security for applications and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with various firewall technologies.
  • Experience with NIST SP or CMMC standards.
  • Knowledge of security practices in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Educational Background:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as MCSA and Cisco CCNA are advantageous.
  • Security-related certifications are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking concepts.
  • Experience of 5 to 7 years in relevant fields.
