About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at PortageRx Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists: Provide administrative support to our pharmacists, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Prepare Medications: Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications to our clients.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Scheduling and Workflow: Assist with scheduling appointments and managing workflow to ensure efficient operation of the pharmacy.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of medications and supplies.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and filing.
  • Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a client-focused approach in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or related field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks and physical demands.
  • Personal Suitability: Strong client focus, organized, team player, and ability to multitask.
Language and Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
