Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at PortageRx Pharmacy.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will provide administrative support to our pharmacists and pharmacy staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. This role will involve a variety of tasks, including preparing medications, maintaining equipment, and performing general clerical duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists with patient consultations and medication preparation
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of medications and supplies
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for pharmacy operations
  • Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phones and responding to emails
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow management
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on pharmacy practices and procedures
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other software applications
