Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at PortageRx Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including preparing medications for clients and maintaining equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Help with scheduling and workflow, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering of supplies.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Word.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, physically demanding.
  • Personal suitability: Client focus, organized, team player, ability to multitask.
Work Environment

Our pharmacy is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will work closely with our pharmacists and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy.
