Transitional Worker

Job Summary:
The Transitional Worker will work under the direction of the Director of Cottage/Transitional Housing Program to ensure the implementation of home programs, engaging residents in daily life skills activities, medication administration, and identifying and supporting residents to access community resources and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement home programs, including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance tasks, in a manner consistent with Coast's mission and philosophy.
- Engage residents in daily life skills activities, such as medication administration, and provide support to access community resources and services.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Cottage/Transitional Housing Program to ensure the effective implementation of programs and services.
- Identify and address the needs of residents, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers to ensure access to resources and services for residents.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Community Social Service or related field.
- Recent, related experience of two years or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Certificates in First Aid + CPR, WHMIS, Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance, TB Clearance, and Foodsafe upon hire.
