About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker III to join our Community Transition Team in Correctional Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive health, mental health, and substance use services to clients in correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with complex mental health and substance use needs.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to clients and their families.
- Support clients and their families through education, short-term counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a correctional health or related setting.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
- Valid BC driver's license.
