As a Senior Account Executive for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you will craft and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at generating cloud subscription revenue with SAP clients. The BTP Account Executive must stay informed about SAP's ongoing and upcoming initiatives in areas such as Digital Transformation, Process Enhancement, Data Architecture, Modern Analytics, and Application Optimization.

This role is pivotal in fostering innovation. A significant aspect of success in this position hinges on the Account Executive's ability to comprehend and communicate how SAP can introduce innovation into client operations, enhancing revenue, profit margins, and market standing. The Account Executive will receive support from SAP resources and collaborate closely with other teams to meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the business advantages and value propositions of SAP Database, Data Management, Analytics, and Technology solutions.
  • Work alongside support teams to maximize revenue from SAP BTP.
  • Identify client business challenges and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Spot opportunities for innovation within the client base and mobilize resources to demonstrate the innovation's business value.
  • Generate new business sales opportunities in untapped accounts.
  • Oversee multiple complex sales opportunities concurrently.
  • Secure intricate sales agreements in a competitive landscape to meet sales objectives.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the SAP BTP portfolio and industry trends.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in selling Database, Data Management, Analytics, and/or Technology solutions to large enterprises.
  • Background in selling Artificial Intelligence, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Process Automation, and Low Code/No Code solutions.
  • Experience managing extensive, complex sales cycles with a track record of meeting quotas.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with CXO-level executives.

Education and Skills:

  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Teradata, Informatica, AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudera, or other related data management technologies.
  • Understanding of the business value and positioning of Platform as a Service solutions like SAP BTP.
  • Ability to forecast and manage sales cycles effectively, successfully closing new business.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, planning, and execution skills.
  • Strong business development, prospecting, and presentation capabilities.
  • A proven history of surpassing sales targets and developing territories/accounts.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
